Terms of service
Last updated 25 April 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the user) and Skyie Global Technologies, the operator of lifeinuk.study. By using the website, signing up for an account, or paying for a plan, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
lifeinuk.study is a study aid for the UK government's "Life in the United Kingdom" test. It is an independent product. We are not affiliated with the UK Home Office, nor with any government body that administers or grades the official test. Passing or failing any practice test on our platform has no bearing on the official test result.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You're responsible for the email address linked to your account. Don't share access to your inbox with someone you wouldn't trust to log in as you — magic links arrive there.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to compromise its security.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or republish our questions, study material, or AI tutor responses, in whole or in part.
- Use the service to build a competing product, including by harvesting Aria's outputs for training.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, or security measures.
- Submit deliberately abusive, illegal, or harmful content to Aria.
- Share your sign-in link with anyone else.
4. Pricing and payments
Free tier features are listed on our pricing page and remain free as long as we offer the service. Paid plans are billed in advance either monthly or annually, in pounds sterling, through Stripe. Prices shown include VAT where applicable.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; access to paid features continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
5. Money-back guarantee
If you sit the official UK Life in the UK test within 90 days of starting a paid plan, complete at least 20 practice tests on lifeinuk.study, and fail the official test, we will refund 100% of what you've paid us. To claim, email [email protected] with a copy of your official result letter within 30 days of the result. We process valid claims within 14 days.
6. Statutory cancellation right
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from starting your subscription to change your mind for any reason. To cancel within this window, email us; we'll refund what you've paid, less the value of any portion of the service you've already used.
7. Content and intellectual property
We own (or licence) all rights in the website, the question database, the chapter summaries we've authored, the Aria system prompt and tutor persona, and the brand assets. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own personal study while your account is active.
The text of the official "Life in the United Kingdom" handbook is Crown copyright; we summarise and reformat it for study purposes under fair-dealing principles. The Crown copyright in that source material is unaffected.
Anything you submit to Aria stays yours. We process it solely to respond to you and to improve the service, in line with the privacy policy.
8. AI tutor (Aria) — what to expect
Aria is a large-language-model assistant. She tries hard to be accurate but occasionally makes mistakes. Don't rely on her for legal advice about your immigration application — that's a job for a qualified immigration adviser. If something Aria says contradicts the official handbook, the handbook wins.
9. Service availability
We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but make no guarantee. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that the law does not permit us to limit or exclude.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim and (b) £100. We are not liable for any loss of profit, business, opportunity, goodwill, or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
11. Changes to the terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll email everyone with an active account at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept it; if you don't, you can cancel and we'll refund any unused portion.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that we can't resolve through good-faith conversation will be heard exclusively by the courts of England and Wales, save that if you're a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
